In Memory of
"Bobby 'The Man'
Mann"
This page will remain as a memorial page to
my good friend "Bobby 'the Man' Mann."
The ending of the legendary holiday film,
"It's A Wonderful Life", implies that the success of a man's life can be
measured by the number of people whose lives he's touched in a positive way.
Even in my best effort, I could not even begin to say here how many lives
Bobby has touched not only with his "excellently-superb" mixing abilities,
but more so, with his sincere, genuine, warm and friendly personality.
We all will miss you greatly Bobby!!!

Bobby’s
credentials in the music biz were heavy and many. He worked with too many
local, national, and international acts to list here. In 1977 he studied
with the “Recording Institution of America.”
He mixed his first “live” cover band in 1978. Through out the years, he
had the opportunities to mix some outstanding cover bands, such as Goldilocks,
Island, and Shotgun Wedding. In the early days of his career, he mixed a
new group on the horizons named “John Bongiovi & the Wild Ones” who went on
to become
“Bonjovi.”
Bobby’s attributed allot of his background and expertise as a sound engineer
to his affiliation with
“Clair Brothers Audio,” In the 80’s he got involved doing shows as Stage Manager for Outfield, The
Hooters, Tommy Conwell, and Rodney Crowell to mention a few.
Bobby was the Production Manager and FOH Sound Engineer at
Penn’s Peak,
and was responsible, along with the owner of Penn’s Peak, for the state of
art “Clair
Brothers Audio” sound reinforcement system installed in Penn’s
Peak. Listed below is a partial list of the shows Bobby worked with. There
are too many more to list. It was my pleasure to have Bobby mix for
Island, but it was an even greater honor to have him as the warm, sincere,
caring friend he was.
